Toyota
Brake pedal pulsation, vibration. Owners of 2000-05 Tundra pickup trucks may complain of a pedal pulsation and/or vibration through the steering column when the brakes are applied on the open road. While warped front rotors are always a possibility, out-of-round rear brake drums are just as likely a cause, says Toyota.
Start your diagnosis by taking the truck on a road test and applying the brakes a few times to confirm that the pulsation/vibration problem exists. If it does, get the vehicle back up to 40 to 50 mph and slowly apply the parking brake. Don’t overdo it; you could lock up the rear wheels! Apply the brake just enough so the rear shoes engage the drums. If you don’t feel the bad vibes when the parking brake is applied, the problem is in the front brakes. Machine or replace the front rotors as necessary. If a pulsation/ vibration does set up as you apply the parking brake, the problem is in the rear braking system.
Before replacing the drums, however, check the diameter of the centering area on both rear axle shafts with a vernier caliper or micrometer, as shown in the illustration at right. The diameter should be 4.171 to 4.173 in. If it’s larger than that, the drum(s) could run oblong on the shaft(s), says Toyota. Replace the axle shaft(s) as necessary. Read the rest of this entry »

Pierre Bourdieu has become a leading figure in the radical movements that have swept France in the last few years. He talked to Kevin Ovenden about anti-capitalism and resistance.
The Weight of the World was recently published in Britain. It describes through interviews in the early 1990s the ’social suffering of contemporary society’. Why is life getting harder for most people?
There are similarities between what has happened to people’s lives in France and in Britain. The main issue, of course, is neo-liberalism and what I call the retreat of the state. The state has abandoned a lot of areas that it was involved in, such as healthcare, education, and social provision.
When we conducted this study it was only beginning. Now it is far worse. So for example, in France neo-liberal philosophy has become embedded in all the social practices and policies of the state. It has become internalised in the minds of the political establishment. The minister of education who was recently forced out of office, Claude All are, was very similar to the one you have in Britain. He introduced into education so called ‘tough policies’–a drive for efficiency and productivity.
Instead of looking very carefully at how education works, the neo-liberals opt for a very simple solution. They create competition between schools and between the directors of schools, who have to compete for budgets and for students. This competition is fake–it is artificially constructed. It does not arise spontaneously from the way the education system works. The education system was not perfect. I was very critical of it. But instead of correcting it and providing the means to better it, they destroy it by introducing this capitalistic vision of education. Read the rest of this entry »

People who like traveling have their reasons. They maintain that traveling can help them expand their scope of knowlege, especialy in the geographical and historial sense. They also think that touring willgive them more chances toenjoy different kinds of food and experience new things that would otherwise never have access to.But those who dislike traveling also have some reasons.
Traveling,in my opinion, does more good than harm. Most impotant,it broaden our mind.we can get in touch with other civilizations, cultures, customs economic methods and ideas.
Throught history, most travel was undertaken because of necessity–not for pleasure.People traveled to satisfy basic needs for survival. They searched for food and shelter or fled from enemies. Many people traveled in search of a better life.Perhaps they were searching for gold, silver, and other treasures that would make them rich. This is not to say that no one ever traveled just for the fun of it.In ancient times, for example, wealthy romans made excursions to Greece to take part in the Olympic Games, theatrical productions, and festivals.Of course, some people were motivated travel just out of curiosity. They wanted to find out what lay beyond the horizon or around the band in the road. Also travel for the purpose of conducting trade–in other words, business travel–has been going on for centuries.Traders could not only make money but also learn to speake several languages and be introduced to China’s culture.
So,traveling is a matter both exciting and abundant. It do broden our mind, and draw new ideas to us guided by others’

Where there is great love, there arealways miracles.
Love is like a butterfly. It goes where it pleases and it pleases where it goes.
If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.
Within you I lose myself, without you I find myself wanting to be lost again.
At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.
Look into my eyes - you will see what you mean to me.
Distance makes the hearts grow fonder.
I need him like I need the air to breathe.
If equal affection cannot be, let the more loving be me.
Love is a vine that grows into our hearts. Read the rest of this entry »
Once, a fellow went into a restaurant and ordered a two-pound lobster.
“Waiter,” he said when his meal was placed before him, “this lobster has only one claw.”
“I’m sorry, sir,” the waiter replied. “but sometimes the lobsters fight in the tank.”
“In that case,” the diner said, “bring me the winner.”
